Sainsbury's have announced they will be ditching the cardboard outer on some of their cereals in a bid to be more environmentally friendly - read more here.  Do you think this is a good idea?  They'll still be using the plastic bag which many councils can't recycle...

Not sure it'll help their margins though. A lot of people buy cereal based on the pretty box.

I can't wait to receive my bag of crumbs when the Tesco packers have hurled the tins, bags of potatoes, etc., into the box on top of the cornflakes!

Being a stubborn male I never accept their help and then proceed to struggle for 5 mins whilst they hurl stuff down the conveyor belt. Honestly, it's like the Krypton Factor some times it's so fast!

I do my own packing when I go to the supermarket, but I was meaning the packers who assemble the online delivery.

I think it's great.  The delivery charge is well worth the saving in time, petrol and car park rage!  The drivers are all very helpful and friendly, even though where we live is inaccessible to their vans so they have to barrow the shopping down our long winding drive.

On the very rare occasion there are any problems these are quickly sorted out by an email to Customer Services.

It depends on which day and time you choose - varies from £4 to £6.  They guarantee a two-hour slot and deliver evenings or weekends if you're out at work all day.  If you want to give it a try I can point you in the direction of a voucher code for money off your first order.  If you collect Tesco Clubcard points you can exchange your vouchers for double the value in delivery charge vouchers, effectively giving you double money off your shopping.

Personally I rather like doing my shopping in my dressing gown witha cup of coffee (or glass of wine depending on the time of day) and a cigarette, with not a single screaming child or rude old age pensioner in sight!  The only time I go to the supermarket nowadays is if I need cashback or the car needs petrol.
