my local council has roadside recyling, however they are quite limited in what they take - no cardboard or plastic (except bottles) which means i still send a lot of things to landfill that could be recycled. I have started collecting my carboard to take to the tip myself, however we dont get round to that often. The council just down the road has just implemented a new system with 3 wellie bins for different things, including food waste. Although my friends complained to begin with they were very surprised when the first landfil collection came round how little they had to put out!
Yes i have noticed these labels on lots of packaging, particually sainsburys own packaging. I dont use it when sorting my recycling as i know what they do and dont take, however i think it is very useful when sorting plastics as it is often difficult to tell if it is recyclable or not!
I still dont think there are enough recylcing facitilies for food waste - composting or for tetrapacks!
Sorry i know i cant speel
