    Mega strong beer

A controversial brewery has launched another controversial beer called Tactical Nuclear Penguin.  Sounds intriguing but is a 32% beer really a good idea?  Who'd buy it?

    How controversial! Stick out tongue

I don't mind it too much - at £32 a bottle, only someone planning on savouring it properly will surely buy it.  If anyone decides that they want something strong to get them drunk then they'll buy some Absinthe or something.

Good marketing ploy I think by the company though as it's made their brand better known to the public, so they might sell some of their "normal" beer from this (I assume they have some of that in stock as well!)

I'm intrigued, but the price is a bit much for what it is. I'd like to try it though, just to see what such a strong beer actually tastes like. Really "hoppy" I'd imagine...?

Not only would you have to be planning on savouring it, you'd have to be quite well-heeled as well at around twice the price of whisky!

I certainly wouldn't like it as I like to drink my beer in pints and be still standing after three or four.

I think it would be more malty than hoppy.  On the very rare occasions when I drink a strong beer I always find it a bit thick and sweet.  That's another reason why I prefer the weaker ones as I like my bitter to taste bitter.

The name is great, but I honestly cannot see the point in producing a beer thats sole intention is to get you paralytic as fast as possible.  Where is the enjoyment in that?

I wouldnt purchase this .. its totally unnecessary for them to produce something of this strength and personally I think it is irresponsible of them as well

Thing is young teenagers who are easily influenced would see this as a challenge to drink and would watse there money buying it! We all know these sort of products are designed to target the younger more influential members of society
